Formed in Valencia in 2017, Destral (meaning "Hatchet" in Catalan) is a heavy metal band that stays true to the traditional sounds of the 80s. Their music features a mix of Spanish and Catalan lyrics, focusing on classic heavy metal structures with a modern touch. Following their 2022 EP Fembres Pecadrius, the band released their first full-length album, Alça la Destral, in June 2024, which captures their straightforward and energetic style.
