VIDRES A LA SANG

Virtut Del Desencís is the sixth album in their fantastic discography. Once again recorded, mixed and mastered by Eloi Boucherie at his Farm of Sounds studio, the album also features cover art and artwork by Alejandro Tedín from Heresie Studio.

It includes a special vocal collaboration with Arnau Tordera (Obeses) on the song ‘Sempre És Incert’, the only track on Virtut Del Desencís that sets a poem by Miquel Martí i Pol to music.

“The virtue of disenchantment is that state of the soul where the last thoughts of lucidity dwell just before surrendering to the total absence of hope. To scrape and gather the last moments of light. To hold on, resist, love, believe, trust, live, contemplate and observe in order to understand that, ultimately, there is nothing we could have learned. That there is nothing that could have been understood. Let this disenchantment become virtue. Let it be done.”

From this reflection, the Egarenc institution returns to the scene with six new anthems of true dead black metal in its highest expression and splendour, and the band itself confidently states that “this album gathers the legacy on which Vidres A La Sang has been built over more than 20 years of career, and without a doubt it is the most mature, dynamic, creative and powerful work we have created to date”.

Thus, Virtut Del Desencís is sure to shake the most sensitive souls of extreme music, once again delving, through its unmistakable lyrical style, into the shadows that define us as a species from the deepest level.
